GB Gerakbudaya Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. was founded in 1998 and is based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.  We distribute books that embody social awareness, critical and alternative perspectives, and the hidden histories of Malaysia, Southeast Asia and the wider world we live in.  GB is dedicated to circulating timely and important books, breaking down artificial barriers between writers/thinkers in institutions and everyone else, and generating informed discussions of important issues in our lives by providing different views and fresh insights.

Gerakbudaya is the Malaysian sole distributor for the alternative London-based publishing house, Zedbooks Publication (Zed).  We are the distributor for the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS), Select Publishing and Think Center of Singapore.  In Malaysia, we distribute books of prestigious local university presses, local book publishers and local and International NGO’s.
