Although menstruation is a biological event, it has been coated wit many layers of cultural values and perceptions. Exploring the cultural embedment of menstruation and its meanings in relation to yet another culturally loaded term “woman”, this book explores the effects and implication when the understanding of “menstruation” is challenged. By re-examining the cultural perception and stimulating discussions, It is hoped that open and active communication will pave way for the reclamation of women’s bodies by women.
