The story of Lim Guan Eng is, in a way, a microcosm of Malaysian politician history. He was born in 1960 and took the plunge into the world of politics in the '80s. Most of his adult life was spent fighting for a more just and democratic Malaysia, while facing a slew of political persecutions in the process.
After hitting the lowest ebb of his life, he and the DAP made history on '308' (12th General Election) and became one of the main characters in the country's democratic process.
The story of Lim Guan Eng is also our story; his ups and downs reflect our hopes, struggles and aspirations as we try to make Malaysia a better country for future generations.
